Anna completed a BA (Hons) in Art Education at Bretton Hall in 1997.
Two decades later, during a difficult period in her career as a mental health nurse, she rediscovered art as a source of focus, relief, and renewal.
Working primarily in pen and ink, Anna’s practice explores the quiet strength of negative space, the restraint of limited colour palettes, and the balance of thoughtful composition.
Her work is deeply influenced by the aesthetics of Japanese woodblock prints, the precision of natural history illustration, the discipline of control and the meditative rhythm of repetition.
Anna’s ongoing practice as a mental health nurse is interwoven with her artistic life — each informing and grounding the other. This balance gives her work a quiet calm and clear, reflective focus.
